I value quality work and professional guidance form a contractor and that is exactly what I received from Lenny Schwartz of Pinnacle Roofing. He led me through the process pointed out items that needed to be taken care of on the front end or during the installation of roof, gutters, and new sky light told me what he recommended I do and alternatives to consider.

 

I had spoken with five roofing contractors and then went with Pinnacle Roofing because I perceived everything would run smoothly and I would get a quality installation and workmanship and that is exactly what happened. Pinnacle also receives high recommendations on Angie’s List.

May of 2011, my contractor of over 30 years was retiring, but before he did he gave my home a thorough inspection.  It passed with flying colors, except for the roof.  My contractor suggested I call seven or eight roofing companies for a bid and replace the roof prior to the fall and the bad weather.

 

Pinnacle Roofing was one of the seven I called.  I was impressed with Lenny and two others, but not to the extent of Lenny Schwartz and his Pinnacle Roofing Company.  He was not the lowest bidder and not the highest.  I found Lenny accommodating.  Lenny met several times with me.  I was in the newspaper business for over 41 years on eight newspapers from the Midwest, Mountain states and the West coast.  I served 40 years as an executive and was very skeptical, particularly with roofers, and other home improvement firms.

 

After running checks on Lenny and his Pinnacle Roofing Company, his main supplier and customers, I decided to sign Lenny’s contract.

 

I called my two sons, one an attorney and the owner of a law firm in Salt Lake City and my other son who is an economist for the U. S. Treasury and had just remodeled his large home, which included a new roof.  Both of them said hold off until they could get here.  My attorney son told me he had just had four cases against roofers and their suppliers.  My attorney son checked on Lenny and his company and the product and then talked to Lenny.  Both sons were impressed with Lenny and IB Systems and I signed the contract.  Since I had strokes and I cannot climb on the roof, I called my attorney son and told him I had asked Lenny to inspect the roof on my behalf upon completion of the job.  My son stated that normally he would not consider it, but we all found Lenny Schwartz to be honest in his dealings.  My son thought I had made a good decision. 

 

My total roofing cost was $13,220.00, which included IB’s Lifetime guarantee plus Lenny’s crew’s work ethics, Lenny’s integrity and his being an authorized IB Roofing Contractor.  The men cleaned up and left the premises neat and clean at the conclusion of every work day which pleased me and my wife considerably.

I contacted two companies on HelpHive a few weeks back to repair a leak in my roof. After trading voicemails with both companies, Pinnacle was the only one that followed up with an estimate. In fact, Lenny was very prompt in coming out to look at the roof. The estimate was reasonable, so I had him perform the work. While doing the job, I got the call we all dread "I found some unforeseen damage..." This is where you gulp and wait for a huge, scary number. Fortunately, that wasn't the case at all. I own a home in WA, but live in CA. How do you find a responsible contractor by phone? Well, I did the research. I wanted an owner owned company with experience, but not so much that they were jaded. I wanted someone close and needed someone who would answer all my questions and not get impatient or frustrated, as I know very little about roofing. Again, I did my research. I chose Pinnacle Roofing Professionals and worked daily with the owner Lenny and I could not be happier! He was patient with all my concerns, e-mailed me daily, & sent pictures through the whole process. His foreman, Jason, was tireless in getting what was needed for both the estimate and the re-roofing job. I was a little nervous to ask about the $500.00 off coupon that appears in the Insider Pages, after all an estimate is about how to get the job done with the least amount of expense and high quality work, but Lenny honored it without question.
